Eligibility criteria for the Algoma University Dean’s Award:

  • Applicants must be new international students entering Algoma University for the first time.
  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time (12 credits per term over Fall/Winter).
  • Applicants must meet minimum academic requirements:
    • B+ average or equivalent
    • 80–84.9% in top 6 Grade 12 U/M courses (Ontario curriculum)
    • IB diploma score of 34–36
  • Applicants must provide a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) before award disbursement.
  • Applicants must accept the award in the year it is granted (it cannot be deferred).
  • Applicants must remain in good academic standing.

Value of the Algoma University Dean’s Award:

A $1,000 non-renewable entrance scholarship.
