Al Nevison Graduate Research Award at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026

The Al Nevison Graduate Research Award at the University of Northern British Columbia supports graduate students in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies by providing financial assistance for research projects that may otherwise be difficult to pursue. Established by Alan and Marjorie Nevison, the award reflects their commitment to supporting education, research, innovation, and the development of future leaders.

Eligibility criteria for the Al Nevison Graduate Research Award at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:

• Applicants must be full-time or part-time graduate students.
• Applicants must be conducting research in the Natural Resources and Environmental Studies (NRES) program.
• Applicants must have an overall GPA of at least 3.00.
• Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
• Applicants may receive the award more than once.

Application Process for the Al Nevison Graduate Research Award at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:

• Applicants must complete all sections of the UNBC Online Awards Application.
• Applicants must submit a research abstract of up to two pages 
• Applicants must submit a one-page letter explaining why the award would enable them to undertake research that would otherwise not be possible.
• Applicants must submit the required materials within the application period.
• Recipients are selected by the Senate Committee on Scholarships and Bursaries based on the recommendation of the NRES Graduate Coordinator and verification by the UNBC Awards Office.
