Eligibility Criteria for the Asian Development Bank Japan Scholarship Program 2026:

Applicants must:

• Be a national of an ADB borrowing member country.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.
• Have at least two years of full‑time professional work experience acquired after earning the bachelor’s degree.
• Be proficient in oral and written English.
• Be in good health.
• Be 35 years old or younger at the time of application (some exceptions up to age 45 for senior programmes).
• Agree to return to their home country after completing their studies to contribute to development.
• Not already be enrolled in a graduate degree programme at the time of application.
