Abraham & Ellen Smaardyk Scholarship at Indiana Institute of Technology 2025

Abraham and Ellen Smaardyk established this scholarship after Abraham retired from Argonne National Laboratories.

Eligibility Criteria for the Abraham and Ellen Smaardyk Scholarship:

• Applicants must be U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
• Applicants must be pursuing full-time undergraduate courses.
• Preference is given to students enrolled in the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences.
• Applicants must demonstrate high scholastic records with an average scholastic high school standing.
• Applicants must also demonstrate hard work and perseverance.

Application Process:

• Applicants must apply for FAFSA.
• No separate application is required.

Selection Criteria:

Recommendations for the scholarship will be made by the director of financial aid and then approved by the administrative committee of the college.

Value of the Abraham and Ellen Smaardyk Scholarship:

• The successful candidates will receive the scholarship value at the discretion of the college.
• The scholarship is renewable each year upon evaluation of scholastic performance.
