Stipends for Ambrosiana Microfilms Collection Research at University of Notre Dame 2024

Objective 

Every year, the Medieval Institute provides three $750 stipends to scholars who wish to visit Notre Dame and consult its extensive collection of microfilms and other materials that reproduce the holdings of the Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan. All grants are made at the discretion of the Medieval Institute's director and are awarded based on the research project description and how consultation with the Ambrosiana Archive will advance the applicant's work. Stipends may be used to help cover the costs of travel, lodging, microfilm reproduction, photoduplication, and other expenses associated with Institute research.

Eligibility:

• Postdoctoral and established scholars, together with advanced graduate students, are eligible.
• Every grant is given out based on the description of the research endeavor and how consulting the Ambrosiana Archive would help the applicant's work.

• Attach a letter of application outlining the nature of your research project and how using the Ambrosiana Collection can assist your work, along with a copy of your current resume.
• Find out the outcome of your application.
