The Prize was established as a Scholarship in 1991 by Mrs E Stoddart in memory of her husband the late Mr Mervin Walter Stoddart.
Eligibility for Mervin Walter Stoddart Prize 2024:
- A student with the highest grade point average (GPA) across all courses taken in the year of the award, who is enrolled in Part II, III, or IV of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (BE(Hons)) with a focus on Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering, will receive the prize.
- The head of the department of electrical, computer, and software engineering recommends that the prize be given by the University of Auckland Council.
- Students need to be classified as international fee-paying students.
Application Process:
Students don't need to fill out an online application or apply for this scholarship. It is given out based on the advice of the appropriate University of Auckland committee or faculty.
