Anybody who has studied at Aberystwyth University will always have a particular place in their heart, and we are eager to assist students who want to continue their education here. For this reason, we created the Caru Aber (Love Aber) International Award as well as the AberGrad Award. While the Caru Aber International Award offers a £1,000 tuition fee discount (for each year of study) to international fee-paying students who studied with us as associate students, the AberGrad Award offers financial support to students who have previously completed a full degree at Aberystwyth University. This covers coursework for any of our summer schools as well as exchange or study abroad programs (for one or two semesters).
Eligibility for Caru Aber International Award:
- Without utilizing the services of an education agency, the student must submit their application to the university directly to pursue a degree.
- To be eligible for the Caru Aber International Award, the student must be classified as an international fee-payer.
- The applicant must have fulfilled one of the following requirements for prior completion of studies at Aberystwyth University:

- Study Year Abroad
- Exchange Program
- The International Accommodation Award and the Caru Aber International Award can be paired, but not with any other awards.
- When a tuition fee reduction is already in place for university partnerships, it cannot be paired with it; however, if the Caru Aber International Award is more valuable, it may be selected instead of the tuition price discount.
- The student won't be qualified for the Caru Aber International Award if the student receives complete financing from other sponsors (such as a government agency, nonprofit, or private organization).
- The applicant can be qualified for the Caru Aber International Award if the student is receiving an educational loan.
- At its sole discretion, the University has the right to change any or all Award grants, discounts, and rules.
