Tokai University is a private university in Tokyo, Japan. Its establishing entity, the Tokai University Educational System was founded by Dr. Shigeyoshi Matsumae in 1942. He opened the Aerial Science College, an antecedent of Tokai University, Shizuoka, Japan in 1943. Tokai University was accredited under the Japan's old educational sysytem in 1946 and under the new sysytem in 1950. In 2008, Tokai University, Kyushu Tokai University, and Hokkaido Tokai University were consolidated and reorganized into Tokai University.
