UQ Paul Compton Scholarship 2021

The University of Queensland may award up to one scholarship each year for students intending to enrol or enrolled full-time in an approved postgraduate coursework program for students in accordance with the University’s Fee Policy. The scholarship was established in 2020 by alumnus Paul Compton (Bachelor of Commerce ’84 and Bachelor of Economics ’86) under the Create Change Scholarship Match Initiative and is maintained by income generated from the endowment fund. The University of Queensland initiated UQ Paul Compton Scholarship 2021. The purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support postgraduate coursework students of the School of Business experiencing financial need by making a contribution towards the cost of tuition fees.

Eligibility criteria for the UQ Paul Compton Scholarship 2021:

• Applicants from all nationalities are eligible.
• Applicants must submit an application to the Dean, by the closing date for applications.
• Applicants must  provide documentary evidence of financial need.
• Applicants must intend to enrol or is enrolled full-time in an Approved Program.
• Applicants must have a minimum of 16 units to complete in an Approved Program.  

Value of the UQ Paul Compton Scholarship 2021:

Successful applicants will receive at least $6,500 but will not exceed annual income from endowment, payable towards tuition fees only.

The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the following criteria –

(a) evidence of financial need.

(b) personal qualities, including leadership potential.
