Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) is conducting Undergraduate Scholarship Program for International Students from Southeast Asian Countries, 2017 that provides scholarships to 200 academically excellent students.
Eligibility criteria:
- Candidates applying for Undergraduate Scholarship Program for International Students from Southeast Asian Countries, 2017 should be non-Chinese with Southeast Asian citizenship.
- Applicants must meet all the international student requirements and hold a valid foreign passport.
- Candidates must abide by the rules without any records of the violation of laws, regulations or school rules of China.
- Applicants should be healthy, friendly, well-conducted and studious.
- Applicants of Undergraduate Scholarship Program for International Students from Southeast Asian Countries, 2017 must have graduated from high school with top grades or demonstrate excellence in social service, sports, music, other cultural activities or leadership.
- Applicants of Liberal Arts, Economics and Managerial Science Majors must secure an HSK 5 certificate with at least 180 points while Science, Engineering and Medical Science Major applicants must secure HSK 4 Certificate with a minimum of 180 points.
- The recipients of the scholarship must undergo a Chinese preparatory course for one academic year if they do not possess adequate Chinese language skills.
- A recommendation letter issued by the recommending institutions must be obtained by the students.
