Thomson Foundation/RTÉ MojoCon Mobile journalism competition, 2017 is open to students worldwide. The objective is to discover the best journalistic example of the use of mobile content production for story telling.
Entries in the English language would be preferred although entries in other languages with on-screen subtitles will also be considered.
Submissions must be lasting for 2-5 minutes and can be a feature-type story or a news report.
Filming must be done only using a mobile device i.e a smartphone or a tablet.
Any device that can deliver content in HD quality can be used.
The entries must be uploaded to YouTube.
Entries must be uploaded with a hashtag #MoJoConTFComp in the title and description clearly.
Applicants of Thomson Foundation/RTÉ MojoCon Mobile journalism competition, 2017 must be ready to share the workflow, devices and the apps they used for filming if they win or if asked by a MojoCon community member.
The whole video content must be done entirely by one individual and any external footage/archived content that is imported/downloaded is not allowed.
Each candidate can submit only one entry for the Thomson Foundation/RTÉ MojoCon Mobile journalism competition, 2017.
Slideshows, visual grading apps, Hyperlapse, Timelapse etc can be used and is also encouraged.
