The Snickel Lane Urban Art Award was established in 2016 by Argosy Property to offer an opportunity for a student to create and display public artwork and develop the expertise needed to succeed in this field supported by staff of Argosy and of Elam School of Fine Arts.

Eligibility for The Snickel Lane Urban Art Award 2020:

  • To take up and be paid the Award the candidate must be enrolled and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time enrolment in a Doctorate of Fine Arts, Doctor of Philosophy with Creative Practice, Master of Fine Arts, Postgraduate Diploma of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) or the final year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
  • The Award is tenable by domestic or international students.
  • The Award will be made to the project judged to be the most meritorious designed for a specific site assigned by Argosy in the Snickel Lane development. Copyright of the project remains with the student.

Value of The Snickel Lane Urban Art Award 2020:

  • One award will be made annually and will be of the value of up to NZD 10,000 to cover the cost of installation and materials for the project.
