The Aspire Scholarship, 2017 is being granted by the Ministry of Education, New Zealand and is open students from low-income families who wish to attend secondary schools in New Zealand.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates applying for The Aspire Scholarship, 2017 must be in year 9 in 2018.
  • The applicants' whose primary caregiver(s)  have a joint annual gross income of not more than $56,000 excluding Working for Families tax credits are eligible to apply.
  • The applicants' whose primary caregiver(s)  have a combined net worth of not more than $200,000 excluding household items are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants or their primary caregiver(s) must not be beneficiaries of any trusts; any exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case method.
  • Applicants of The Aspire Scholarship, 2017 must be citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand.
