- Terry Roberts' Memorial Scholarship 2017 is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
- Applicants must be a resident of South Australia.

- Applicants of Terry Roberts' Memorial Scholarship 2017 should be enrolled as a Commonwealth supported full-time student in an undergraduate program of study at a university in South Australia.
- Applicants must also be eligible for ABSTUDY, Austudy, and Youth Allowance.
- Candidates should not be receiving an undergraduate degree from any university.
