Steve and Susan West Visiting Scholarship in United States History 2020

Eligibility for Steve and Susan West Visiting Scholarship in United States History 2020:

• The Scholarship will be awarded to a candidate who has paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for part-time or full-time enrolment in an Honours, Masters or PhD degree in the discipline of History at the University of Auckland and who is undertaking research on an aspect of United States history.
• The basis of selection will be academic merit and relevance of the research to be undertaken at the University of Texas at Austin.

Value of Steve and Susan West Visiting Scholarship in United States History 2020:

• One Scholarship will be awarded annually and will be of the value of USD 5,000 as a living stipend plus return airfares from Auckland, New Zealand to Austin, Texas.:

The Scholarship will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Head of History (or nominee) and two academic members of the Disciplinary Area of History (at least one of whom specializes in United States History). The Scholarship’s emolument will be paid in one installment.
