Rhodes University Masters, Doctoral And Postdoctoral Scholarships

Eligibility

• The candidates applying for Rhodes University Masters, Doctoral, and Postdoctoral Scholarships should have at least 65% or above in previous degrees.
• The applicants should have the ability to work in a research environment.
• The candidates should have higher education transformation interest and the scholarship of engagement interest.
• The applicants should be willing to work in a research environment that is transdisciplinary and present research findings at the conferences.
• The candidates applying for postdoctoral fellowships should have completed their Ph.D. not more than 5 years before the application.
• The applicants should be registered as full-time students at Rhodes University and should be willing to learn new research methodologies. 

Documents required

• The candidates applying for Rhodes University Masters, Doctoral, and Postdoctoral Scholarships should submit a curriculum vitae, names and contact information of two referees, and identification or passport number.
• The applicants should also submit a statement explaining why they want to join the project in 1 to 2 pages, full academic record, and a sample writing such as an essay, article, or chapter.

Value of the scholarship
The recipients of Rhodes University Masters, Doctoral, and Postdoctoral Scholarships, 2017 get R80 000 per year up to 2 years for masters scholarships, R100 000 per year up to 3 years for doctoral scholarships, and R190 000 per year for 3 years for postdoctoral fellowships
