Postdoctoral Fellowship in Geochemistry/Economic Geology 2020 is open to a person to develop geochemical tools for the exploration of pegmatite-type deposits in the frame of the HORIZON2020 GREENPEG project. The main study object is the mineral quartz and is trace element signature and variation. The main study areas are Wolfsberg in Austria and Leinster in Ireland, where pegmatites with economic potential occur. The aim its to establish quartz as pathfinder mineral to identify economic pegmatite-type resources in Europe.
Eligibility for Postdoctoral Fellowship in Geochemistry/Economic Geology 2020:
- Applicants must hold a PhD in Geology or Mineralogy or related topic.
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Practical experience with LA-ICP-MS and/or SIMS instrumentation from data collection to data processing and evaluation.
- Fieldwork experience in ore deposit mapping and sampling.

- Salary of NOK 523,200 - 583,900 per annum depending on qualifications in position as Postdoctoral Research Fellow for three years.
