About this scholarship
Supervisor: Dr Xianyu Wang
Most current studies that assess population’s plastic additive exposure do not provide quantifiable exposure pathway information. This project aims to quantify exposure pathways for different classes of plastic additives for general population. The student will be trained on trace organic analysis using mass spectrometric techniques. Project work will include characterising both external and internal plastic additive exposure, factors contributing to such exposure, and eventually quantifying the contribution from different exposure pathways.
