- Johannes Gutenberg University (JGU) is offering a Ph.D. position for Vertebrate Herbivory that investigates the evolution of plant-feeding among amniotes. The European Research Council (ERC) is funding the project.
- The candidate applying for PhD Position in Palaeontology/Isotope Geochemistry, 2017 should have diploma or masters degree in Biology or Earth science.
- The applicant should have motivation in the areas of biology or vertebrate paleontology and should have an interest in isotope geochemistry.
- The candidates are expected to have excellent spoken and written skills in English and should have publications in scientific journals.
- The applicants should provide the care to vertebrates in controlled feeding experiments experience of isotope analysis with TIMS and/or MC-ICP-MS.
- The candidate should be able to work carefully in a laboratory while preparing tissue samples to create high-precision Ca and Sr isotope.
- The applicants should submit a motivation letter, academic certificates, curriculum vitae, details of two referees and MSc publications and thesis with the application.
