Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research (MFMER) is offering Mayo Clinic - International Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowships (Minnesota), 2020 to international candidates who completed a general surgery residency in a program that is non-accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

  • Letter of recommendation from the program director

The one-year International Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota, offers:

  • The opportunity to participate in the surgical care of patients with a wide variety of colorectal pathology
  • A rotation schedule based on a one-to-one mentorship model that includes experience in endoscopy and diseases of the anus, colon and rectum
  • The opportunity to work in a group practice that has a team-based and multidisciplinary approach to patient care
  • A cadaver-based curriculum that includes technical competency assessment in open, laparoscopic and robotic surgical skills
