Eligibility
- The scholarship is open Australian nationals.
- Must be an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person.
- He/She must be a commencing student enrolled for the first time at Deakin University.
- The applicant must be pursuing their undergraduate bachelor degree in Trimester 2 2016 in a Commonwealth supported place.
- He/She must be enrolled in a full-time course study.
- Must not be holding a bachelor's degree or higher-level award.
- The applicant must not have received payment for an IAS.
- Must not be in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink benefit.
- Must be willing to relocate from a regional or remote area.
Selection Criteria
- Applicants are selected based on their academic merit.
- His/Her financial and social disadvantage are considered.
- Applicants involvement in your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community is assessed.
- Applicant disability status is taken into account.
