Description:

The purpose of this scholarship is to support students towards study for an Honours or Master's degree in Economics or Political Science at the University of Canterbury. The scholarship was established in 1994 by a gift from Alan Gibbs.

Eligibility for the F A Hayek Scholarship in Economics or Political Science:

Applicants must be enrolled in a programme for a Master's or Honours degree in Economics or Political Science at the University of Canterbury, with a course weighting in the range of 0.75-1.50 EFTS. Such a programme must include a research component of at least 30 points.

Value of the Scholarship:

Successful applicants of the F A Hayek Scholarship in Economics or Political Science will receive an award of $16,500.
