The University of Oslo is offering a Doctoral research fellowship in Museum and Cultural Heritage Studies, 2017 for candidates around the world to conduct research on Culture Studies and Oriental Languages.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants of must have received a Master's degree or equivalent in cultural heritage studies, anthropology, museum studies,  indigenous studies, cultural history, or other relevant areas by the time of application.
  • Innovation scientific merit and research-related relevance of the project will be taken into consideration.
  • Personal and academic qualifications (required linguistic knowledge) of the applicants will also be taken into account for assessments.
  • Candidates applying for the Doctoral research fellowship in Museum and Cultural Heritage Studies, 2017 must be able to complete the research training.
  • Students must possess good collaboration skills, and the ability to successfully join in academic communities within and across disciplines in order to be eligible.
  • Personal and academic ability of the student to carry out the project within the allotted time is given emphasis on.
  • Applicants are required to have motivation for the position and personal suitability.

 

Documents required:

  • Candidates must send application letter including a statement of their research interest.
  • Transcripts of Master's degree must be accompanied by an explanation of grading system if they had graduated from a foreign university.
  • Applicants of the Doctoral research fellowship in Museum and Cultural Heritage Studies, 2017 must send their curriculum vitae that should summarize scientific publications, positions, education, academic work.
  • Project description in 3 - 5 pages including a progress plan must be submitted by the candidates.
