Students must have taken out the largest amount of student loans they are eligible for and must meet the residency requirements for SAAS, Student Finance England, Student Finance Wales, or Student Finance Northern Ireland living cost support. Students who live in households with annual incomes under £34,999 are eligible for the programme. Students funded by SAAS can prove this by supplying a copy of their award letter attesting to the fact that they are receiving an enhanced student loan and/or bursary, and students from the rest of the UK can prove this by supplying their award notice attesting to the fact that they are receiving such aid. If they fulfil these requirements, they may submit an application if they satisfy one or more of the following requirements:
Undergraduate Students:
- Are care experienced; or
- Are in receipt of a University STAR Scholarship
- Are receiving SAAS support that includes an enhanced student loan (for Independent Students) or a Young Students’ Bursary
- Are in need of a device to support their learning
Postgraduate Students
- Are care experienced
- Are in need of a device to support their learning
