    • The University of Canterbury is offering scholarships to students commencing or continuing undergraduate or honors degree at the University.
    • The candidates applying for Arts Scholars Scholarship, 2017 should be students of M?ori or Pasifika descent.
    • The applicants should be under the age of 20 when starting university.
    • The candidates should not have enrolled in any tertiary institution previously.
    • The applicants should be advancing or returning to their study for undergraduate or honors degree in the College of Arts at the University.
    • The candidates should be pursuing or intending to pursue their degree in the fields of Fine Arts, Social Work, Music or any of the subjects listed as majors in the current year of the University's calendar.
    • The applicants for Arts Scholars Scholarship, 2017 will be assessed based on their achievement in NCEA Level 2 or 3 or in an equivalent university entrance qualification for first-year students and in University of Canterbury results for advancing or returning students.
    • The candidates will also be assessed based on their potential for an arts education.
    • The recipients of Arts Scholars Scholarship, 2017 get $2,000 towards tuition fees for one academic year.
    • The recipients should maintain satisfactory academic progress for the continuation of the scholarship.
