Women Leaders In Extractives Fellowship

Eligibility

• The NRGI fellowship is for women civil society activists who will be able to apply this knowledge immediately in their work.
• Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree.
• Must have a background or keen interest in research, monitoring and activism around extractive revenue.
• Applicants interested in legal and fiscal regimes, and transparency are preferred.
• Applicants must be committed to return to their home country and their current campaigns.
• Must possess diplomatic skills to participate constructively in a debate with different stakeholders.
• Candidates must be proficient in English.
• Must have the full support of their current home organization to pursue all aspects of the fellowship.

Selection Criteria

• Selection is based on the applicant's work experience, training and education. 
• The candidates technical knowledge of and interest in the extractives sector is taken into consideration.
• Applicants commitment to apply their newly acquired skills and knowledge is assessed.
• Applicant's ability to meet the particular mental, relational, and academic challenges of the fellowship is evaluated.

• Candidates must provide two professional references.
• Applicants are required to submit three essays in no more than 500 words each.
• Details of the candidates academic and professional background must be submitted.
