  • The Centre for Studies in Religion and Society (CSRS) at the University of Victoria is offering visiting research fellowships for Canadians and International scholars for 12 months.
  • The applicants for Visiting Research Fellowships At the University Of Victoria, 2016-17 should be emeritus scholars, new scholars, scholars on sabbatical leave from their regular academic appointments. 
  • The candidates should be working on projects involving the study of religion related to aspects of society and culture, both contemporary and historical.
  • The research themes include critical examinations of religious themes in the areas of art, environment,ethics, public policy, technology, health, human conflict, literature, the media, law, philosophy or the natural sciences. 
  • The fellows should work in the centre’s quarters, give one public lecture on their research theme, and acknowledge the CSRS in all publications from the fellowship.
  • The candidates applying for Visiting Research Fellowships At the University Of Victoria, 2016-17 should submit a curriculum vitae, a visiting research fellowship application form, and names and contact information of two scholars to evaluate the proposed project.
  • The applicants should also submit the subject of a project in 1,100 characters, and summary of the project in 500 words.
