US Embassy Junior Faculty Development Program, 2018 is open to candidates who wish to take part in the professional development program of 10 weeks duration in the United States.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants of US Embassy Junior Faculty Development Program, 2018 should be citizens of Afganistan and be currently employed as junior level faculty members at a higher educational institution in Afganistan on a full--time basis.
  • Teaching experience between 1-5 years is required and have shown interest and also intend to continue teaching at university level in Afghanistan.
  • Applicants must have at least a bachelor's degree of four years duration along with the transcripts.
  • Candidates applying for US Embassy Junior Faculty Development Program, 2018 should demonstrate achievements and leadership qualities through professional work and volunteering experiences.
  • Applicants must have good English language skills and those with a valid TOEFL iBT score will be preferred.  
  • Dual citizens, US citizens, those living outside Afganistan and those with a pending application for immigration to any country are ineligible to apply.
  • “NO dependent policy”  of the Afghan Junior Faculty Development Program must be accepted by the applicants.
