The Summer Legal Honors Internship Program in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) at NASA Headquarters is intended to expose law students to the rewards of Federal service and to facilitate their growth in an environment outside of the classroom. An internship with the OGC provides law students the opportunity to apply classroom theory to “real world” situations thus enhancing the students’ academic and career goals. NASA Headquarters is located in Washington, D.C., and is metro accessible (Federal Center SW and l’Enfant Plaza Metro stations).
The internships are unpaid but promise real experience and an opportunity to be mentored by experienced attorneys in one of our four practice groups.
Eligibility: It invites applications from highly-motivated first-year and second-year law students who are United States citizens.
Internship Duration: A minimum 10-week commitment for the summer is recommended. The internship program is extremely competitive as we select only one intern for each participating practice group.
Note: Interviews are generally conducted in-person. Non-local candidates may be interviewed by telephone. Regrettably, we cannot respond to application status inquiries, and it may not be possible for us to confirm receipt of your application due to the number of applicants.
