The Department of Geography and Earth Science, Shippensburg University is offering internships to undergraduate and graduate students.
The undergraduate students should complete three internship credits and a maximum of 9 internship credits and graduate students should complete six internship credits.

Eligibility

  • The undergraduate candidates applying for Shippensburg University Department Of Geography Internships, 2017 should have at least 60 credits and an overall GPA of 2.0.
  • The graduate applicants should have an overall GPA of 3.0.
  • The internship should be related to the candidate's educational background or major.
  • The applicants for Shippensburg University Department Of Geography Internships, 2017 should consult their faculty advisor about their interest in the internship.
  • The internship experience should be approved by the faculty coordinator.
  • The credit hour of the internship is equal to 40 hours of work and 3-credit internship equals 120 hours of work.
  • The internship will be graded pass or fail.

Documents required

  • The candidates applying for Shippensburg University Department Of Geography Internships, 2017 should submit "an intent to apply for an internship" online form.
  • The applicants who do not submit the intent form will be denied internship.
  • The candidates should submit the College of Arts and Sciences internship application after securing an internship placement.
  • The candidates applying for Fall or Summer internship should submit the intent by March 15 and candidates applying for Spring internship should submit the intent by October 15. 
  • The applicants for fall internships should submit necessary paperwork by June 1 of the prior semester, applicants for Spring internships by December 1 of the prior semester and Summer internships by May 15.
