The REEF Marine Conservation Internship, 2017 is offered three times a year to four individuals at REEF Headquarters in Key Largo, Florida.

Eligibility

  • The applicants for REEF Marine Conservation Internship, 2017 can be of any nationality.
  • The candidates should have completed at least two years of college.
  • The applicants should have Open Water SCUBA certification.
  • The candidates with experience in boat and ocean diving are preferred.
  • The applicants should have Microsoft Office Suite experience and good oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidates are expected to have excellent people skills and enthusiasm to instill marine environment connection with the public.
  • The applicants who are from disciplines outside marine science can also apply.

Duties

  • The candidates selected for REEF Marine Conservation Internship, 2017 should perform fish identification surveys while scuba diving, assist with invasive lionfish fields work, and present seminars for dive clubs and school groups.
  • The selected applicants should assist with Ocean Explorers Summer Camp and create Camp Content (Summer Internship Only) and write articles for blogs, newspapers, and social media.
