  • NCRA-TIFR The Visiting Students' Research Program, 2017 is conducted in May to July every year.
  • The applicants should be entering the final year of B.Sc./M.Sc. in the fields of Electronics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Physics or B.Tech./B.E. degrees.
  • The candidates can also be B.Sc. degree final year students or Integrated M.Sc. degree third or fourth-year students in the fields of Physics, Astronomy, Applied Mathematics or Electronics.
  • The applicants for NCRA-TIFR The Visiting Students' Research Program, 2017 are selected based on their research interest statement, proof of motivation for research.
  • The candidates are also evaluated on the basis of their grades/marks and referee reports.
  • The recipients of NCRA-TIFR The Visiting Students' Research Program, 2017 will get a stipend and accommodation in the NCRA-TIFR hostel.
  • Candidates will also be paid 1.33 times the second-class return railway fare between the place of their residence or education and Pune.
  • Based on their research project performance, the recipients will get a research scholarship towards a Ph.D. at NCRA-TIFR.
