The National Institute on Drug Abuse is providing a research internship program focusing on increasing underrepresented populations in drug abuse research.

Eligibility for (NIDA) Summer Research Program, 2018

  • The candidates applying for National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Summer Research Program, 2018 should be 18 years or older.
  • The applicants should be citizens or permanent residents of the US.
  • The program focuses on recruiting students in the biomedical, behavioral, and clinical sciences (Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian/Alaska Native,).
  • The candidates who are graduating 2018 college seniors can apply.
  • Those who already took part in the NIDA Summer Research Internship are not eligible.

Documents required:

  • The applicants for National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Summer Research Program, 2018 must submit current transcripts with the application form.
  • Two recommendation letters on letterhead must be submitted.

Value of the internship:

The recipients of National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Summer Research Program, 2018 get $12.00 per hour for 8 weeks i.e. a total of $3,840.
