National Geographic Geography Intern

The National Geographic Geography Intern Program offers two 12-week semesters in 2016. One in the summer and one in the fall.

Eligibility

• The applicants must be residents of U.S.
• The majors of the applicant should be concentrated on geography, cartography or GIS.
• Irrespective of level study juniors, senior, or masters students must be graduated at the time of application.

Documents required

• A cover letter stating the title as "To Whom it May Concern" should be attached with not more than 200 words.
• Resume describing the applicant’s extracurricular activities, awards and recognitions; employment history; a list of specific skills such as software or language proficiencies; and other relevant information such as special interests, hobbies, and travel.
• An essay is required on relating experiences that led the applicant to formal training in geography. You may also have to state your professional goals, and explain why you wish to participate in the National Geographic Geography Intern Program with a maximum of 500 words.
• The unofficial college transcripts representing your academics.
• Letters of recommendation(three)
