The Leiden University MENA Scholarship Program, 2018 are offered to professionals from ten selected MENA countries to participate in an eligible short course at the Leiden University.

Eligibility

  • The candidates applying for Leiden University MENA Scholarship Program, 2018 should be nationals of Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Syria or Tunisia who work and live in those countries.
  • The applicants should not be more than 45 years of age at the time of the application.
  • The candidates should have an unconditional offer from the Leiden University for an eligible course for the MENA Scholarship.
  • The applicants should be nominated by their employer and should have a valid passport.
  • The candidates should not be employed in organizations like multinational corporations, large national and/or large commercial organisations, bilateral donor organisations, multilateral donor organizations, or international NGOs.
  • Only one scholarship will be given for short courses which take place at the same time.
  • 50% of the fellowships will be awarded to women.

Application Procedure

  • The applicants for Leiden University MENA Scholarship Program, 2018 should apply to International Tax Center Leiden.
  • The candidates should submit a statement from the employer and a statement from the government authority.
  • The applicants should also submit an explanation of the issue they want to address in their country, how the course will enable them to address this issue, and how will they address the issue with their position in the organization each in 50 to 1000 characters.
  • The candidates should also upload the copy of their passport.

Value of the Scholarship
The recipients get a salary, an allowance towards, living costs, travel, visa, tuition fees, and insurance.
