Eligibility

  • Candidates are required to have the expertise and qualifications related to United Nations University Library activities.
  • Applicants must have a bachelor's degree related to library, information and knowledge management studies
  • He/She can also be pursuing postgraduate studies in the same.
  • Applicants in their final year of Undergraduate study are also considered for the internship.
  • Applicants with advanced knowledge of classification schemes, international standards on cataloguing and indexing tools is a plus.
  • Applicants must have experience in literature, archival research and documentation.
  • Students who possess advanced knowledge of standard office software and database applications are considered.
  • International students are required to have an appropriate visa.

  • The intern must be able to fund him/herself in Tokyo for the duration of the internship. UNU does not provide any financial support. The United Nations headquarters in New York, however, has compiled a list of potential funding sources for interns.
