The John W. Kluge Center is open to qualified scholars to conduct research at the Kluge Center using the collections of Library of Congress and resources for a period of four to eleven months.

Eligibility criteria:

  • The Kluge fellowship is open to candidates of all nationalities.
  • Applicants who hold a degree in the humanities, social sciences or a professional field such as architecture or law for the past seven years are eligible to apply for Kluge Fellowships, Library Of Congress, 2017.
  • Applicants without continuous academic careers may be made as exceptions.
  • International applicants of Kluge Fellowships, Library Of Congress, 2017 will be assisted in securing the appropriate visa. 

Documents required:

  • Candidates need to submit their completed applications in English.
  • A single paragraph abstract must be submitted.
  • A detailed copy of the candidate's CV must be submitted in two pages only.
  • Applicants must provide three references.
  • A statement of proposed research in maximum three pages must be submitted.
  • A bibliography of works the applicant has consulted must be submitted in three pages.
  • A statement of why the Library of Congress is the required venue for research in one paragraph must be submitted.
