The German Bundestag is offering an intensive four-week program for politically engaged graduates from the Arab region interested in playing an active role in promoting core democratic values in their home countries.


  • The applicants for International Parliamentary Scholarship Program, 2017 should be citizens of an Arab country.
  • The candidates should be under the age of 35.
  • The applicants are required to have a degree from the university.
  • The candidates should be interested in the politics.
  • The applicants are expected to have good German knowledge and political/social commitment.

Documents required

  • The candidates applying for International Parliamentary Scholarship Program, 2017 are required to submit the application form, a copy of the university degree certificate, and a copy of ID card or passport.
  • The applicants should submit a recommendation letter from their university professor or employer assessing their qualification in German or English.
  • The candidates should also submit proof of German knowledge and reasons for application not exceeding two pages.

Value of the scholarship

The recipients of International Parliamentary Scholarship Program, 2017 get 500 Euros towards health, accident and personal insurance.
