The Procurement Governance for Home Grown School Feeding (PG-HGSF) project is implemented by SNV USA in Kenya, Ghana and Mali with the aim to improve the access of smallholder farmers to government led school feeding programs. The project focuses on 3 topics: the procurement process, the supply chain and social accountability; for all it tries to identify opportunities for increased inclusion of smallholder farmers and develops those opportunities by way of pilot interventions at the district level together with local stakeholders. The project is managed by SNV USA’s office, with project teams based in each country. The project’s Learning Component is designed to document and disseminate the lessons learned to as wide an audience as possible, through web-based communications, electronic publishing, and presentations at national and international events. The project is in its final year is actively collecting and disseminating lessons-learned.
SNV is looking for a full- or part-time intern office to support the implementation of the Learning Component and assist in other project management issues. The objective of the internship is to ensure the continuous generation of knowledge, information, and news coming from the country experiences for dissemination through the web page and other venues. The intern will work closely with the project’s Learning Manager and Project Manager. This is a paid position, based at SNV USA’s Bethesda, MD office, and will last through May 2016.
