The Rhodes University is offering Hugh Le May Fellowship For South Africans, 2018 to scholars who intend to devote themselves to advanced work in the subjects of Political Theory, Philosophy, Medieval or Modern History, Classics, Classical, Biblical, Medieval or Modern Languages, Law.
The fellowship will be given to applicants within other disciplines of humanities if there are no applicants with sufficient merit in the above-mentioned disciplines.
The candidates who have obtained their Ph.D. in the last five years should not apply to Hugh Le May Fellowship For South Africans, 2018.
The applicants should submit their applications before the deadline.
The recipients of Hugh Le May Fellowship For South Africans, 2018 get a stipend of R5000.00 per month or R7500.00 per month if accompanied by a partner.
The recipients also get a return economy class airfare from the applicant's place of residence and university accommodation with electricity and water.
The successful candidates should take up residence in Grahamstown.
The fellows should present a report on the work undertaken.
