The Gerda Henkel Fellowship, 2016 for fundamental research in the fields of the humanities and the social sciences.


Eligibility

  • The Gerda Henkel Fellowship is open to nationals of Afghanistan, Belarus, China (permanent residence in Tibet or Xinjiang Autonomous Regions), Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
  • He/She must have completed a Ph.D. in the fields of the humanities and social sciences.
  • Candidates below the age of 45 will be given preference.
  • International research experience and publications in peer-reviewed academic editions will be considered.

Selection Criteria

  • The candidate's academic portfolio and publications, participation in international research are reviewed during the selection process.
  • Innovative fundamental research proposal with significant contribution will be evaluated.
  • Interdisciplinary and comparative approaches are an advantage.

Documents Required

  • For the Gerda Henkel Fellowship, applicants must provide two letters of recommendation.
  • A scanned Ph.D. certificate must be submitted.
  • Must attach a recent photo.
