Facebook Research Internship, Ph.D. (Systems and Infrastructure), 2017 is open to candidates who are interested in developing the systems of next generation and build applications that reach millions of people and also create high volume servers.

Eligibility criteria:

• Applicants of Facebook Research Internship, Ph.D. (Systems and Infrastructure), 2017 must be studying Ph.D. in Computer Science, or related STEM/quantitative field, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
• Applicants should currently be enrolled in a full-time degree program and must return to the program upon internship completion.
• Work/research experience in Algorithms, Security, Programming Languages, Compilers, Database, Architecture, Data Mining, Distributed Systems, Networking, and/or Systems is required.
• Candidates applying for Facebook Research Internship, Ph.D. (Systems and Infrastructure), 2017 must possess the following criteria:
• Experience in systems software or algorithms
• Expertise in Perl, PHP, C++, Java, or Python
• Potential to obtain work authorization in the UK in 2017
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, cross-group, and cross-culture collaboration
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Proven track record of obtaining significant results
• Demonstrated software engineering experience through an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or Ph.D. papers
