The Daniel Pearl Fellowship, 2017 is offered to mid-level journalists from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Tunisia, Turkey and Yemen by the Daniel Pearl Foundation.

Eligibility

  • The applicants for Daniel Pearl Fellowship, 2017 should be Muslim-majority country citizens.
  • The candidates should be full-time journalists for the news or editorial departments of newspapers, magazines, online publications, or wire services.
  • The applicants should have a minimum of three years professional experience in journalism.
  • The candidates should be aged between 25 and 35 years.
  • The applicants should be mid or early career professionals.
  • The candidates should have a commitment towards journalism career and should have the English language proficiency.

Program Goals

  • The selected applicants for Daniel Pearl Fellowship, 2017 will get experience in editorial decision-making, editing, reporting, and writing that will enhance their career.
  • The successful candidates get exposed to technological changes that occur in the industry.
