Community College Internship, 2017 is offered to community college students to encourage them to enter technical careers relevant to the DOE mission.

Eligibility

  • The candidates should be citizens and permanent residents of the US.
  • The applicants for Community College Internship, 2017 should be enrolled as full-time students at an accredited two-year college or a community college and should have completed at least one semester at the time of applying.
  • The candidates should have an undergraduate CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for all completed courses.
  • The applicants are expected to complete a minimum of 6 credit hours in mathematics, science, engineering, or technology course areas.
  • The candidates should have completed 12 credits hours towards a degree.
  • The applicants should be 18 years or above at the time of application.
  • The candidates should have earned a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • The applicants for Community College Internship, 2017 should complete the application through the online application system.
  • The candidates should submit contact details, education information, essays, research interests, and citizenship status.
  • The applicants should submit undergraduate transcripts from other undergraduate academic institutions attended a copy of their currently or recently attended university transcript.
  • The candidates should submit two recommendation letters.

Value of the Internship

The recipients of Community College Internship, 2017 get a stipend of $500 per week and a travel supplement if permanent address is at least 50 miles from the lab.
