CNIO Summer Training Programme is offered by The Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO; Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncológicas) to provide research opportunities for students in pursuing a research career in the Biomedicine and Life Sciences. 

Eligibility

  • Applicants of CNIO Summer Training Programme should have passed at least 2/3 of the total credit points, which is required for a Life Sciences or Biomedicine-related undergraduate degree.
  • Applicants are expected to have an excellent academic track record with a Grade Point Average (GPA) above 0.75.
  • The candidates applying can be of any nationality. 
  • Applicants should be enrolled as an undergraduate student throughout the whole summer programme.
  • A good knowledge of English is expected from the applicant.
  • Candidates should be able to attend the training programme from June 26 to August 18 (8 weeks).

Documents required

  • Applicants of CNIO Summer Training Programme should submit two letters of recommendation.
  • Copies of an official Transcript of Records, Academic Transcript or Certification, stating the number of credits passed
  • Candidates also need to submit a National Identity Card or Passport.
  • Candidates should provide a proof of having a valid health insurance (public or private) during the whole summer stay. 
  • Applicants, who are citizens of countries issuing the European Health Card (EHC), which also includes Spanish nationals, should present the documentation.
