The Bielefeld Univeristy is offering visiting fellowships to international doctoral researchers to work at the Graduate School for four months.

Eligibility

  • The applicants for BGHS Visiting Fellowship Program, 2018 should be international doctoral researchers who have matriculated in a doctoral program abroad.
  • The candidates' dissertation should be focused on the sociological, political science, historical, or anthropological fields.
  • The German nationals can apply if they have done their tertiary education at foreign universities.
  • The applicants should present their project to the BGHS community at the start of the fellowship and submit a final report at the end of the fellowship.
  • The research project should be relatable to the areas of the research covered by the graduate school.

Documents required

  • The candidates applying for BGHS Visiting Fellowship Program, 2018 should submit a curriculum vitae not exceeding 1000 words, a cover letter less than 600 words, and a recommendation letter from the supervisor or advisor at the university.
  • The applicants should also submit the dissertation project's description in 2000 words, the timeframe for their stay at the university, and university certificates and transcripts.

Value of the fellowship

  • The recipients of BGHS Visiting Fellowship Program, 2018 get a stipend of EUR 1,200 per month and child allowance.
  • The recipients also get travel costs upon application.
