The Baltic-American Freedom Foundation Professional Internship Program, 2020 aims to help the applicants in creating their career-defining success by learning at a U.S. company.

Eligibility:

  • The candidates applying for the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation Professional Internship Program, 2020 should have a passport from Lithuania, Latvia, or Estonia.
  • The applicants should have English language proficiency sufficient enough to function in a business setting.
  • The candidates should be enrolled in their final year at a post-secondary university which is accredited. The program or course should be at least for three years and should result in a degree.
  • The applicants can also have graduated within 6 months prior to the application date or can be enrolled an accredited postgraduate university for full-time.
  • The candidates whose immediate family members are employees of BAFF or BAFF Advisory Board members are not eligible.
  • The applicants should return to their home country for at least two years after the completion of the scholarship.

Selection Criteria

  • The candidates applying for the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation Professional Internship Program, 2020 will be assessed based on their potential contribution to their home country in the future, leadership skills, and self-motivation.
  • The applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their ability to serve as the US cultural ambassador and their professional objectives' matching to the mission and values of the BAFF.

Documents required

  • The applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a passport-sized photo, and university transcripts.
  • The candidates should also submit the English language proficiency proof, academic and professional recommendation letters, and a personal statement not exceeding 1,200 words, describing their career goals, personal qualities, and the challenges the industry in which the applicant is interested.
