  • The Asian Cultural Council fellowships, 2017 are given to an arts or humanities professional.
  • The applicants should be permanent residents of the US and Asia.
  • The candidates should be an artist or a scholar, or a graduate/post-graduate student in a related field or an arts or humanities professional.
  • If they are applying as a team, each team member should submit a separate application, referencing the names of the collaborator(s) in the project description.
  • The fellowship is offered to those in the fields of Archaeology, Film/Video, Architecture, Literature (for projects to and from Japan only), Art History, Music, Photography, Arts Administration, Museum Studies, Conservation, Theater, Arts Criticism, Crafts, Curation, Visual Art, and Dance.
  • The applicants for Asian Cultural Council fellowships, 2017 should submit an application form with contact information, background, and qualifications, and summary of the proposed project.
  • The candidates should also submit a curriculum vitae, letters of recommendations from one or two references, samples of their past work not exceeding 25 images, or 15 minutes of sound/video, or 15 pages of text.
  • The applicants should also submit a budget of the proposed project and details of the other sources of funding.
