Eligibility Criteria

A 2:1 undergraduate degree (or international) equivalent in biomedical sciences.

A 2.2 BSc (Honours) with relevant work experience may also be considered.

MBBS students may be admitted at any time following the third year of their programme.

English language requirement:

  • IELTS: 6.5
  • TOEFL-IBT: 92

Application procedure

Your application will be assessed by two academics. We normally interview all suitable home applicants in person, or by phone if overseas if required. We aim to process all applications within eight weeks.

Personal statement and supporting information

Please provide details of any previous laboratory or research experience if not mentioned elsewhere in the application form. Please specify if you have a preferred biobank placement from those listed in the description.

Application closing date

The deadline for applications is 02 September for 2016 entry. Note that funding deadlines may be earlier. Applications will be considered subject to availability of places, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible. International applications must be received by 29 July to allow sufficient time for visa processing.
