About this course

The Master of Science in Finance program is a full-time program and students need to complete a full-time program at Nanyang Technological University for at least one academic year. The course is a credit system consisting of 8 compulsory subjects, 3 credits per door. The other 12 credits are to be completed through elective courses. Nanyang Technological University reserves the absolute right to adjust the course content and mode of operation at any time.

Eligibility Criteria

Please make sure you meet the following admission requirements before you apply:

  • A good undergraduate degree in applied mathematics, applied science, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics, or other quantitative fields. We will also consider applicants from other disciplines.
  • A good GMAT or GRE? score. This is compulsory. You may take either the GMAT or GRE although the GRE is preferred. For GRE, please take the General Test. GMAT/GRE must be taken within the last five years at the time of submitting your application.
  • A minimum of two years relevant working experience after obtaining the first degree is preferred, but not required.
  • TOEFL is required if the medium of instruction during your undergraduate studies was not in English. Please indicate Institution code no. 6538. IELTS is accepted in place of TOEFL.

Students will be required to complete 20 core courses and 4 elective courses. The curriculum will be taught over 3 trimesters (1 year). If you wish to undertake the programme on a part-time basis, you will require 6 trimesters (2 years).
